Rules of visiting the reserve and biosphere reserve

Visiting the reserve and the biosphere reserve is regulated by the Law of the Republic of Belarus “on specially protected natural areas”, the Regulations on the Republican reserve “pribuzhskoe Polesie”, as well as the Regulations on the biosphere reserve “pribuzhskoe Polesie”.

In accordance with the Regulations on the biosphere reserve “pribuzhskoe Polesie” (№ 628 from 09.12.2003 g.):

  • carrying out economic activities, research and educational activities within the main zone is allowed by special permits of the administration of the biosphere reserve in accordance with the approved plan;
  • measures to restore ecosystems and natural diversity should be coordinated with the Ministry of natural resources and environmental protection of the Republic of Belarus;
  • economic activity within the transition zone is carried out on the basis of the principle of priority of environmentally compatible nature management and unconditional implementation of the established restrictions.

The regime established on the territory of the biosphere reserve is mandatory for all legal entities and individuals who are guilty of violating the regime of protection and use of the biosphere reserve are liable in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

The damage caused to the biosphere reserve shall be compensated by the guilty legal and (or) natural persons in the amounts and in the manner established by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

In accordance with the Regulations on the Republican landscape reserve “pribuzhskoe Polesie” from 30.05.2003) on the territory of the landscape reserve “pribuzhskoe Polesie” are prohibited:

  • solid main felling, except the mounting strip of the State border of the Republic of Belarus and softwood plantations, in which the other logging is impractical;
  • carrying out works related to changes in the natural landscape and the existing hydrological regime, except for works related to the reconstruction and operation of existing reclamation systems and facilities;
  • damage and destruction of tree and shrub vegetation, violation of natural soil cover, except for cases when it is connected with agricultural, forestry activities and activities to ensure the protection of the state border of the Republic of Belarus;
  • disposal of production and consumption waste;
  • burning dry vegetation( fire), fire cleaning of cutting areas, grazing in the forest;
  • the discharge of untreated sewage, wastes of production and consumption in the watercourses and water bodies;
  • breakdown of tourist camps, campfires, Parking in places not intended for this purpose;
  • movement of the mechanized transport out of roads, except the cars performing agricultural, forestry works, and also transport of the border troops performing tasks of protection of the state border of Republic of Belarus;
  • air treatment of agricultural land by pesticides.

Placement, construction and reconstruction of objects of economic and other activities, development of deposits of common minerals in the territory of the reserve is carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

The damage caused to the Republican landscape reserve “Pribuzhskoye Polesye” shall be compensated by the guilty legal and (or) natural persons in the amounts and in the order established by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

The regime established on the territory of the Republican landscape reserve “pribuzhskoe Polesie” is mandatory for all legal entities and individuals who are guilty of violating the regime of protection and use of the biosphere reserve, are liable in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

Fire safety regulations

  1. In the fire season, that is, in the period from the snow cover in the forest to the onset of stable rainy autumn weather or the formation of snow cover is prohibited:

a) bonfires;

b) throw burning matches and cigarette butts in the forest;

2. Prohibited burning grass in the forest glades, thawed, meadows and land immediately adjacent to forests and protective planted forests and planting;

3. It is forbidden to litter the forest with household waste and garbage;

4. If a forest fire is detected, it is necessary to immediately take measures to extinguish it and report it to forest guards or employees of the national Park.

Responsibility

In accordance with the current legislation, a fine is imposed if these violations do not entail criminal liability of the person responsible:

  • in violation of fire safety requirements in forests;
  • in the destruction or damage of the forest as a result of the burning of the forest or careless handling of fire.
