2014-Year hospitality in the Republic of Belarus
In order to develop tourism, establishment of a modern tourist infrastructure that takes into account geographical location, natural, historical and cultural wealth, raising citizens ‘ patriotic pride and respect for Their 2014 year in Belarus has been declared the year of hospitality. The Government together with regional executive committees is developed and approved the national plan of activities for the year and coordinated the activities of State bodies and other organizations to implement them.
The Ministry of natural resources and environment protection of the Republic of Belarus also developed and approved a plan of activities, most of which are aimed at the development and promotion of eco-tourism in Belarus.

Republican landscape reserve Pribuzhskoe Polesie with the territory 7950 ha was designated to conserve unique landscapes in the southern part of Brest district.
In 2003, in order to solve the key problem – the establishment of equilibrium between apparently conflicting goals: protection of biological diversity, promoting economic and social development and maintenance of cultural values, on the basis of the same landscape reserve biosphere reserve was created on the area 48024 ha, which in 2004 was included into the World network of biosphere reserves of UNESCO.
After Berezinsky biosphere reserve and Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park Pribuzhskoye Polesie is the third protected territory in Belarus that received the status of biosphere reserve. It is the only flat trilateral protected area in Europe, created with the participation of three countries – Belarus, Poland and the Ukraine.
In 2004 biosphere reserve “Pribuzhskoe Polesie” got UNESCO diploma.
